Dynamics NAV Implementation

Implementations of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV system carried out by Seetech are based on the proven methodology of implementation Sure Step developed by Microsoft. The use of reliable methodology streamlines the process of transfer to the new solution and allows for carrying out projects in accordance with the planned schedule and budget.

According the Sure Step methodology, the process of Microsoft Dynamics NAV software implementation consists of 6 phases:

Phase 1. Diagnosis - covers the period from purchasing the software to the start of implementation work. This phase includes a throughout analysis of the client's business environment, and its main goal is the preparation of the plan for introducing individual implementation phases.

Phase 2. Analysis - its goal is to identify the business processes, which will be included in the implementation, the possibilities for their optimisation and system solutions needed to support the implementation process. This phase also covers the training of the client's key users, so they can become familiar with the specifics of the standards functions of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV system.

Phase 3. Design - this phase includes determining the range of standard solutions and designing dedicated solutions, which will be used in the implemented system. Defining the range and type of system modification is aimed at adapting the system to the requirements specified in the analysis phase.

Phase 4. Development - solutions developed in the design phase are introduced to the application is this phase. At this stage, the implemented settings and modifications are also subjected to tests, both by Seetech consultants as well as the client’s key users.

Phase 5. Deployment - includes the introduction of the application in the client’s company. This phase mostly consists of training of end users, configuration, migration and validation of archival data as well as preparation for system launch.

Phase 6. Operation - this is the final phase of the implementation process, where the users start working in the new application, supported initially by the Seetech implementation team. Each phase is conducted in close cooperation of our client’s implementation teams and Seetech.

Our clients are always treated as business partners, whose opinions and suggestions have a key significance to the entire project. After the end of work related with the analysis phase, we transfer Post-Implementation Analysis documentation to our clients, which is a compendium of knowledge on the planned solutions, settings and modification specifics, which will be employed in the implemented software. This document, after the client’s approval, becomes the basis of all further implementation work. It allows for an ongoing verification of the solutions used and the conformity of the implementation with the planned schedule.

Training conducted during the analysis and implementation phase is carried out by specially prepared consultants with many years of experience in training. Training takes place at the client’s location or in specially prepared training facilities at Seetech, depending on the individual arrangements. Participants are supported with suitable training materials, specially selected practical exercises, and their skills are checked using tests completed at the end of classes on various topics.

Instructions are also prepared for our clients, describing the handling of non-standard solutions in detail.

After the completion of implementation works, our clients can take advantage of the post-implementation service dedicated to them, which provides permanent access to software development and ongoing support of its users.
